My name is Duane Fogarty, I am a singer living in Kilcock, Co. Kildare. I am available to perform at corporate events, weddings, funerals etc.
I have performed in leading roles in musicals such as Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls and Jesus Christ Superstar. I am a classically trained singer and have studied under various singing teachers, most notably, Veronica Dunne.
My role as Chiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar in the Theatre Royal, Waterford during the Festival of Light Opera brought me critical acclaim as the judge, International opera singer, Gillian Humphries, said that I had 'a wonderful bass voice' and that I 'could play any role’.
I have also performed backing vocals for Eimear Quinn and Niamh Kavanagh in the Eurovision for Asia fundraiser in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin. More recently, l performed backing vocals for the Music of Presley, 40th Anniversary Concert in the National Concert Hall, my first job as a professional. I have also performed backing vocals for Mary Coughlan as part of the SuSo Gospel choir.
Along with musical theatre, I have also performed in plays such as The Memory of Water, The Canaries and Move over Mrs. Markham.
Other performance experience that I have gained is in television and films including a cameo role in Fair City.Duane
